Centre for Communication Technology (Malta)

The University of Malta established the Centre for Communication Technology (CCT) in 1991 in response to emerging needs for the use of modern media. The Centre for Communication Technology is made up of three divisions: Communications and Instruction Technology, Library and Information Studies and the Law and IT Research Unit.

Faculty of Media and Knowledge Sciences was established on January 27, 2011 to replace the Centre for Communication Technology at the University of Malta. This development was instigated by the expertise accumulated within the Centre over the past decade and the knowledge-based societal trends emerging within business and industry.
