On the 17th and 18th of April 2018, the CITYCoP project team held the final event under the framework of the project in Florence, Italy.

Hosted in the beautiful Palazzo Vecchio, the conference was focused on the major outputs of the project. The first day of the “Changing communities, Changing policing” conference was dedicated towards showcasing the technological achievements of the project – the SecureU App and portal, the developed Serious Game, and the Social Media tool built by the project team, and the practical experience of their usage by the partners who have piloted them.

During the second day of the CITYCoP Final event, the attention was focused towards the key findings of the research performed under the project. To this end, topics as citizens engagement, privacy and human rights were discussed in dedicated panel sessions. The CITYCoP Toolkit was also presented to the guests.

Law and Internet Foundation team members took an active part in the CITYCoP Final Conference. Atty. Desislava Krusteva chaired the “Privacy by design: technical and legal aspects and its implementation in a community policing app” session, and Denitsa Kozhuharova presented in the “Policing innovations: Social Media & Human rights” session.
