The CITYCoP project continues its interactions with the pilot cities with a training activity with the Irish Police.
In late September 2017, the CITYCoP team conducted training for An Garda Síochána personnel on the project, SecureU mobile application, and law enforcement portal. The event was attended by over forty Gardaí from both Dublin and Kildare.
The An Garda Síochána, which has received numerous awards for their community policing efforts, will be piloting the CITYCoP system in two locations (Dublin and Kildare) to evaluate its effectiveness in both urban and rural environments.
