The State Agency for Child Protection was established under the Law on Child Protection by decree № 226 / 10.10.2000 of the Council of Ministers and began its activity on 01.01.2001. The Agency is the only specialized body of the Council of Ministers for management, coordination and control of implementation of the state policy on activities for child protection in Bulgaria.
