The Personal Data Protection Commission celebrated its 10th anniversary with a thematic conference and an official reception.
The chairperson of Law and Internet Foundation – Assoc. Prof. George Dimitrov and Ms Desislava Krusteva, attorney-at-law and
senior expert for the Foundation participated in the conference that was held on the 28th of May, 2012 in Sofia hall of Grand Hotel Sofia.
During the presentation of the topic on “Challenges for the Protection of Personal Data in the Social Networks” Ms Krusteva presented the different types of social forms and presence in them and linked the topic with the legal framework of this area. The focus was on the “consent as the biggest challenge upon the protection of personal data in the social network” and “the right to be forgotten”. She was joined by Assoc. Prof. Dimitrov who answered questions from the participants and the quests in the conference.
