Bilyana Angelova earned her master’s degree in law at the Faculty of Law of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Ms. Angelova is a Trade Mark and Design Attorney as well as a Patent Attorney at the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria and a European Trade Mark and Design Attorney.

Ms. Angelova is a Trade Mark and Design Attorney as well as a Patent Attorney at the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria and a European Trade Mark and Design Attorney.
Her work experience includes core trademark work, trademark watch and prosecution, advice on licensing and copyright. She also provides day-to-day legal advice on regulatory and corporate law matters to international pharmaceutical companies, as well as employment law consultations on general obligations of employers, review of employment contracts and employment disputes.
Bilyana’s current legal practice is focused on Intellectual Property law but also covers areas of life sciences and health care, employment law, privacy and data protection and administrative representation.
In 2010, Ms. Angelova received a full scholarship by Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski for participation in the European Summer School “Central Europe in the EU – After the Lisbon Treaty” in Prague, Czech Republic, which was organized by EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy. In 2015, she received a scholarship for the Summer Course on European Intellectual Property Law in Trier, Germany, organized by the Academy of European Law (ERA).
As a leading expert in the field of intellectual property Bilyana Angelova is one of the teachers in the first edition of the Trade Mark and Design Education Programme of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) which took place from September 2018 to June 2019, as well as a regular guest lecturer on intellectual property in the Business Law course at the American University in Bulgaria.
Bilyana Angelova is Partner at Dimitrov, Petrov & Co. Ms. Angelova is a member of the Sofia Bar Association, the Young Practitioners Committee at INTA and the Internet Committee at the European Communities Trade Mark Association.
She is fluent in English and has a good command of German.
