The Law and Internet Foundation will take part in the upcoming CPDP Conference with a panel titled “Digital Sovereignty in Wartime: Legal and Cybersecurity Considerations”, organised as part of the dissemination activities of ACTING, a project funded by the European Defence Fund under Grant Agreement No. 101103208.
The panel will take place on 21 May, from 14:15 to 15:30, and will explore why digital sovereignty is critical in times of war, how the EU is addressing related legal and cybersecurity challenges, and what role preparedness mechanisms, simulations, and training infrastructures can play. The discussion will be moderated by Polina Petrova (Law and Internet Foundation) and will feature Prof. Dr. George Dimitrov (Law and Internet Foundation), Prof. Dr. José Borges (CINAMIN/Portuguese Army), and Prof. Dr. Guy Banim (Build up-Europe).
In addition, LIF will participate in an Avatar.FM radio session on 22 May at 15:30, titled “NGOs in EU-Funded Innovation: Opportunities and Challenges”. Prof. Dr. Daniela Ilieva and Defne Halil will discuss the role of NGOs in EU-funded projects, focusing on the opportunities and challenges.
We are looking forward to welcoming all CPDP participants to the panel and to sharing LIF’s perspective in the Avatar.FM session. Stay tuned for more links and materials on our social media.
