Benchmarking Meeting in Paris, France

Date: 2 - 6 April 2012

Subject: From the 2nd until the 6th of April, 2012 a bilateral benchmarking meeting between Bulgarian and French experts in the field of management and development of the human resources within the public administration was held in the city of Paris, France. The meeting is in implementation of Activity 8 under the Blagoevgrad Regional Administration's project “Strengthening the Effectiveness of the Human Resources Management in the Administrative Educational and Health Structures” and six employees of the units “Human Resources”, working respectively for the Blagoevgrad Regional Administration, Regional Health Insurance Fund, Regional Inspectorate of Education and the Regional Department of the National Social Security Institute (all from the Blagoevgrad region) participated in the meeting. The French side was represented by a total of five experts in the field of continuing professional training and management and human resource development, working for the General Directorate "Management of Public Service" at the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration, the National School of Public Administration, General Directorate "Management of territories "of the Ministry of Interior and others. In conclusion of the implementation Activity 8 and on the basis of the results from the previous activities under the project and the experience gained during the bilateral benchmarking meeting reports, contacting summarizing and comparative analysis of developing and managing of human resources, for the identification of the best practices that can be used to increase the effectiveness of human resource management in the Bulgarian authorities, are prepared.
