On November 20, 2024, Professor Dr. George Dimitrov, Chairman of “Law and Internet" Foundation, participated in the conference organized by the Attorney’s training center "Krastyu Tsonchev" on the topic: "Artificial Intelligence. Technological, Socio-Economic, Ethical, and Legal Challenges."
The event gathered leading experts in the field of information and communication technology law, who discussed issues related to the application of artificial intelligence in the legal sector and the work of lawyers, the opportunities and risks it presents, the issue of responsibility and regulation, as well as the evolution of legal practice in the era of artificial intelligence.
Professor Dr. Georgi Dimitrov presented a number of practical achievements related to the use of artificial intelligence in the everyday work of lawyers. Along with him, Dr. Gergana Vаrbanova, a member of the Varna Bar Association, gave a presentation on the advantages of AI, as well as the Chinese experience related to its use in the judicial system.
The conference was also attended by Bogdan Petrov – founder, member of the Management Board, and Senior Legal Expert at "Law and Internet" Foundation, Executive Director of “Law and Internet” Foundation Professor Dr. Daniela Ilieva, Maria Lachova – legal expert, and the Secretary General of the Center for Training Lawyers, Tomislav Toshkov.
