This past February, Polina Petrova, a Legal Expert at the Law & Internet Foundation (LIF), has been amongst the 25 AI Governance Experts from Europe & Asia, selected to participate in the Capacity-Building Training on “Future-Proofing AI: Building Human-in-the-Loop Governance Skills for Rights-Respecting AI”. The event took place in the Cultural and Artistic Capital of Indonesia, the ancient city of Yogyakarta, from 30 March – 01 April.

Delivered by experts from both regions, the programme has adopted a multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral approach, combining policy analysis, case-based learning, and collaborative design exercises, aimed at strengthening the capacity of professionals across Asia and Europe to integrate human rights principles into the governance of artificial intelligence.
