The Sixth DATAMITE Plenary Meeting took place last week, between 9th and 10th April 2025. The event was hosted by TECNALIA, in Bilbao, where partners met for a thorough discussion on the progress being made thus far, as well as to consider further steps to be taken. The two-day Plenary Meeting was preceded by a one-day Hackathon.
Law and Internet Foundation (LIF) was represented by its Executive Director, Prof. Dr. Daniela Ilieva, as well as by Polina Petrova, Legal Expert at the organisation. LIF co-led, together with AUSTRALO, a workshop session on the topic of Intellectual Property Rights & Exploitation Strategies. LIF, as well, communicated further aspects on the applicability and understanding of the legislation for end users that are being addressed during the remaining term of the project. In addition to the overall technical framework, multiple other topics were also discussed in-depth, e.g.: Project Management and Coordination; Definition of new KPIs based on end-user value; Data Maturity Model; etc.
The venue for the forthcoming closing Plenary Meeting has been announced, namely, Valencia, Spain, where the Coordinator of DATAMITE, ITI, is hosting the event. The Consortium is meeting again either in October or in November.
