We are thrilled to announce the official kick-off of the iDriving project which took place on July 17-18 in Thessaloniki, Greece. The kick-off meeting was hosted by the project’s coordinator – CERTH, at its premises and it was attended by representatives of all project partners. The meeting was an opportunity to introduce the project’s vision, goals, and expected outcomes, as well as to discuss the work plan, the roles and responsibilities, and the communication and dissemination strategies. The meeting also addressed the main challenges and risks that the project might face, and the possible solutions and mitigation measures. Finally, the iDriving partners engaged in fruitful discussions on the first steps and actions to be taken by each partner in the next months.
The iDriving project is a research and innovation project funded by the European Union under the Horizon 2020 programme. The project aims to develop a novel framework for integrating data-driven and model-based approaches contributing to road safety, using artificial intelligence, computer vision, and machine learning techniques. The project also seeks to evaluate the performance, safety, and social impact of the proposed framework in real-world scenarios, involving different types of vehicles, environments, and traffic conditions. The project involves 17 partners from 10 European countries, with expertise in automotive engineering, software development and data science among others.
As the project moves forward, we will deliver regular updates on its progress and key achievements. We invite you to stay informed as we collaborate to promote safety and drive innovation across European roadways.
