The Institute for Social Research in Zagreb is a non-profit scientific research institution whose basic activity is scientific research in the field of sociology and related disciplines. The Institute has 4 scientific research centres that function as subsidiary units within the Institute. These centres are: the Centre for Educational Research and Development (CERD), the Centre for Research in Social Inequalities and Sustainability (CRiSIS), the Centre for Youth and Gender Studies and the Science Research and Urban/Rural Studies Centre.
