On April 25, 2018, The Bulgarian Industrial Association – Union of the Bulgarian Business (BIA) signed a cooperation agreement with Law and Internet Foundation (LIF) for establishing a Consulting Center for Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation GDPR)) for the needs of the BIA’s partnership network.
Being anactiveorganizationin the field of information and communication technologies lawLaw and Internet Foundation conducts numerous research and project activitiesrelated toprivacy and data protection law. Thus, a significant part of the projects coordinated and implemented by the Foundation are devoted to the different aspects of personal data protection.
The scope of services fostered bythe Consultancy Center includeproviding trainings onGDPR issues , conducting legal analysis and reports on the level of compliance of data processing processes. The serviceData Protection Officer, as well as referring to data protectionand privacy law experts are also part of the benefits of thethis cooperation.
The collaboration between BIA and LIF aims to facilitate the BIA’s partner network in their endeavor to comply with the GDPR .
