The LEAGUE project, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at combatting online child sexual abuse (OCSA), has achieved significant progress since its launch in February 2022. Led by the Law and Internet Foundation (LIF) and funded by the European Union's CERV program, the LEAGUE project is dedicated to creating safer online environments for children, with a specific focus on boys aged 10-18.

In a recent press release, the LEAGUE project announced several noteworthy achievements that mark a milestone in its journey toward safeguarding children from the dangers of online sexual abuse.

First and foremost, the establishment of the LEAGUE internet platform stands out as a major accomplishment. Developed by technical partners from CERTH, this user-friendly platform is designed to provide valuable resources and support services tailored to the needs of children and adolescents. Based on empirical data collected by the LEAGUE consortium, the platform aims to raise awareness and empower users to navigate online spaces safely. Accessible via https://project-league.eu/, the platform serves as a vital tool in the fight against OCSA.

Additionally, the LEAGUE project has launched a Glossary, aimed at educating and informing the public about key terms related to online child sexual abuse. This glossary, featuring definitions of important words and abbreviations, is disseminated through various social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram. Moreover, plans are underway for the launch of LEAGUE channels on YouTube and Twitch, further expanding the project's reach and impact.

Furthermore, CESIE has developed educational training materials for the upcoming LEAGUE training, providing essential resources for practitioners working with children and adolescents. These materials promise to enhance awareness and understanding of OCSA among professionals and empower them to effectively prevent and respond to such incidents.

The LEAGUE project's most anticipated announcement is the upcoming international training scheduled for February 16, 2023, in Vienna. This training presents a unique opportunity for practitioners to engage in a lively exchange of ideas and best practices in the field of preventing online sexual abuse. Invitations and further details will be made available on the LEAGUE project's website and social media channels in the coming weeks.

The LEAGUE consortium eagerly anticipates the participation of stakeholders and professionals at the international training and looks forward to hearing diverse perspectives on this critical issue.
