Minority Rights Group Europe (MRGE) is a non-governmental organisation which came into existence in 1996 with the aim of promoting and facilitating Minority Rights Group International work in Europe and Central Asia. MRGE is one of Minority Rights Group International’s overseas strategic offices and is based Budapest, Hungary.
Its work aims to ensure the rights of ethnic, religious and linguistic minorities and indigenous peoples in Europe and Central Asia, as well as to promote cooperation and understanding between communities.
