Within the framework of the RELEASE project, coordinated by the Law and Internet Foundation team, three national workshops were held as follows:
- on 30th of January 2024, at Attorney's training center "Krustyu Tsonchev", Sofia.
- on 15th of February 2024, at the Orbita Hotel, Blagoevgrad.
- on 22nd of February 2024, at Attorney's training center "Krustyu Tsonchev", Sofia.
The workshops were held with an identical program, the lecturers being Ms. Denitsa Kozhuharova (senior legal expert in the project) and Ms. Maria Doncheva (deputy chairperson of the Sofia District Court). The workshops on " Promoting Alternative Measures to Pre-trial Detention in the Criminal Procedure " were highlighted by a lecture by Judge Doncheva, as well as small group work to discuss issues related to the case law of the European Court of Human Rights.
The seminars were attended by over 70 participants - judges, prosecutors, investigators, lawyers, and court assistants.
