Description

Modern Management Consortium, with a partner Law and Internet Foundation, assistes at increasing the capacity of the experts in the regional and local authorities on the horizontal issues regarding the adoption of resources under the EU Structural and Cohesion Funds through the implementation of specific trainings.

The main activities include:

1. Organization and implementation of 6 trainings for trainers on cross-cutting issues in the context of Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund absorption, in the frame of the Programmes under Objective 3 of the Cohesion policy "European Territorial Cooperation", for European Grouping for Territorial Cooperation and Public-Private Partnership.

2. Organization and implementation of 144 trainings all over the country for regional and local authorities' experts on cross-cutting issues in the context of Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund absorption, in the frame of the Programmes under Objective 3 of the Cohesion policy "European Territorial Cooperation", for European Grouping for Territorial Cooperation and Public-Private Partnership.

The topic involved include: legal and financial issues related to the assimilation Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund absorption – public procurements, state aids, financial management and control, audit, etc.; publicity and information; project management; Objective 3 of the EU Cohesion policy "European Territorial Cooperation" including the European Grouping for Territorial Cooperation; public-private partnership.

The total indicative number of trainees is approximately 2916 experts.

Upon the implementation of the activities under project “Organization and Implementation of Trainings for Regional and Local Authorities” the following results are achieved:

In implementation of Activity 1 “Organization and implementation of trainings for trainers on the horizontal issues in the context of Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund absorption, in the frame of the Programmes under Objective 3 of the Cohesion policy "European Territorial Cooperation", for European Grouping for Territorial Cooperation and Public-Private Partnership” 6 specialized trainings for 36 trainers are organized and implemented;

In implementation of Activity 2 “Organization and implementation of 144 trainings all over the country for regional and local authorities' experts on the horizontal issues” 144 trainings for experts of the regional and local authorities are organized and implemented on the horizontal issues in the context of Structural Funds and Cohesion Fund absorption, as total of 3118 participants are included in the trainings.

Upon the overall project implementation 3154 sets of training materials are printed and the participants declared a high level of satisfaction and that the trainings have significantly contributed to the development of knowledge and skills in the six modules of the project, namely: legal issues, financial issues, projects management, information and publicity, cohesion policy and public-private partnership.

The project is realized with the finacial support of Operational Programme Technical Assistance, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund.
