Due to the high interest and success of the first two workshops held under the project “Preparing local public authorities for the new data protection legislation” (ProLegis), Law and Internet Foundation organises a third one in Burgas, Bulgaria.

The workshop is aimed at local public authorities’ employees who will take up the role of Data Protection Officer. The main objective of the workshop is to present the key aspects on the new requirements, introduced by General Data Protection Regulation.

Local public authorities provide basic services to citizens and the latter involves constant processing of personal data, including sensitive personal data. Therefore, proper understanding and implementation of the European legislation in this field, is a necessity. The majority of ProLegis’ activities is aiming to enhance the capacity of the local public authorities that are directly engaged with data processing.

The workshop in Burgas will be held on February 26th.
