Description
The ProLegis partnership unites 6 partners from 6 different member states (Bulgaria, Austria, Latvia, Greece, Romania and Slovakia) which complement one another with diverse expertise - legal research, data protection, privacy, public administration and studies.Under the coordination of Law and Internet Foundation, ProLegis activities are aimed at the local public authorities’ employees who will act as Data Protection Officers. The partnership brings together various types of organisations – universities, research centres, small enterprise and municipality association in a concentrated effort to provide state of the art training on the novelties that the new EU personal data protection legal frameworks brings.
The project is set to develop its own methodology and training materials in order to enhance the knowledge and competences of the Data Protection Officers, working in local public authorities. Under the framework of the project there will be organised several training events, held in all partner countries, as well as an international training-of-trainers workshop. In order to reach to the Data Protection Officers, working in local public authorities who are unable to participate in the face-to-face events, an e-Learning platform will be developed as well, encompassing the content of the elaborated training materials. The e-Learning platform will function not only in all partner languages, but in English as well.
The project is implemented with the support of the Rights, Equality, Citizenship Programme of the European Commission under Grant Agreement № 769143.
