On 3 February 2026, a specialized one-day training will take place in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria, focusing on the cross-border application and scope of the European Investigation Order (EIO), with a particular emphasis on the interception of telecommunications. The event is organized within the framework of the INCEPT project, which aims to enhance the effective application of the EIO through research, analysis, and the collection of best practices.

As part of the project, a practical guide and methodology will be developed for legal professionals. The project also includes targeted training sessions for judges, prosecutors, lawyers, and investigators, with the objective of strengthening their knowledge and skills related to the legal, practical, and technical aspects of telecommunications interception in a cross-border context.

Purpose of the event

The training aims to facilitate the exchange of best practices and to encourage cooperation among key stakeholders, supporting the identification of common solutions in the field of telecommunications interception. Through a practical and multidisciplinary approach, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the application and scope of the EIO, as well as the practical and technical challenges associated with its implementation.
