Dr Martin Zahariev, legal expert at Law and Internet Foundation, commented on the measures taken by Donald Trump’s government against the national security threats posed by the Chinese company Huawei, in an interview for ‘Business start’ on Bloomberg TV.

Dr Zahariev highlighted the disturbing tendency of politics having more and more impact on trade and business relations. He also noted that customers of the Chinese company would suffer the most consequences as they will have limited access to use Huawei devices. Dr Zahariev expressed his doubts that Huawei has developed an alternative to the services provided by Google and other US companies. The current attack is another example of US-China tensions steadily increasing in the last 15 months and this is probably an attempt of USA to limit the rise of China, said Dr Zahariev.
