On October 15, 2009, Sheraton Hotel, Sofia, Ms. Desislava Krusteva, Member of the Management Board of Law and Internet Foundation took part in the 5th national conference "Information and Communication Technologies in the healthcare – the 21st century challenge. Hospital Information Systems, Telemedicine applications. Diagnostic-related groups – ‘pros’ and ‘cons’ – discussion. National telematic infrastructure."
Ms. Krusteva addressed the "Legal aspects of the electronic healthcare", in particular the status quo the electronic healthcare legislation, problems and flaws of the legal framework, as well as the applicability of the electronic governance rules in the context of provision of electronic health services.
Leading companies in the field of information and communication technologies attended the event. In addition, the European best practices in the field of electronic healthcare were presented. During the conference, the best solutions for proper and adequate application of the new technologies in service of the patients were discussed.
The conference is organized by "Electronic healthcare in Bulgaria" under the aegis of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Bulgaria with the participation of Ministry of the Transport, Information technologies and Communications of The Republic of Bulgaria and Healthcare Commission of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria.
