Description

The e-MEDIATION project unites three organisations from Bulgaria under the coordination of Law and Internet Foundation to contribute to the coherent and effective application of Directive 2008/52/EC by providing a feasible and secure IT tool for online mediation in cross-border disputes, while promoting mediation culture throughout the Bulgarian society.

e-MEDIATION addresses one of the key priorities regarding the correct implementation and application of Directive 2008/52/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 May 2008 on certain aspects of mediation in civil and commercial matters. Since the Directive regulates mediation in cross-border disputes, its effective application supposes effective measures, which will enable the resolution of such disputes through mediation. To contribute to this priority and to the provision of such measures, the e-MEDIATION project will elaborate a sophisticated and feasible platform, as well as practical methodology for mediation in online environment. To this end, the advantages of mediation will be furthered, as parties will be able to establish real contact whatever their location is.

The project is implemented with the support of JUST Programme of the European Commission under Grant Agreement № 764210.
