The new system of electronic identification will guarantee greater protection, says Prof. Dr. George Dimitrov, Chairman of the Law and Internet Foundation, in an interview with BTV.
The electronic identification should be imbedded in the personal ID cards and passports.
The new electronic identification system will provide access to an Internet database, to an information needed to further verify our identity, as well as various government services from which we can take advantage remotely.
"Now when I give my personal identity card, all my data – my three names, address, PIN, eye colour, is collected and processed by everyone. When the electronic identification is working, the body will receive only the personal data that it is entitled to receive”, explained Prof. Dr. George Dimitrov.
