Fifth DATAMITE Plenary Meeting
The Fifth DATAMITE Plenary Meeting took place last week, between 27th and 28th November 2024. The event was hosted by FIR an der RWTH Aachen (Institute for Industrial Management at RWTH Aachen University), in Aachen, Germany, where partners met for a thorough discussion on the progress being made thus far, as well as to consider further steps to be taken. The two-day Plenary was preceded by a one-day Hackathon.
Polina Petrova – Legal Expert at Law and Internet Foundation – led a workshop session on the topic of the Common European Energy Dataspace and the European Interoperability Framework related thereto, in the context of Regulation (EU) 2023/1162 on interoperability requirements and non-discriminatory and transparent procedures for access to metering and consumption data.
Multiple other topics were also discussed in-depth as part of the two-day programme, e.g.: the Data Governance and Quality Modules; the Integration, Demonstration, and Validation concerning the pilot deployments; the Data Sharing Mechanisms and Data Sovereignty; as well as the Outreach, Exploitation, and Collaboration. Another workshop was also conducted regarding the DATAMITE Key Performance Indicators tool, and which was led by University College Cork.
The venue for the forthcoming Plenary Meeting has been announced, as well, namely, Bilbao, where one of the Consortium’s partners, TECNALIA, is hosting the event. The Consortium is meeting either in April or in May next year.
