We are happy to share that the first international workshop under the LEAGUE project was carried out. The event was held on the 16th of February 2023 in Vienna, Austria.
The objective of the workshop has been to bring together practitioners from all over Europe (including Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Romania, Spain, Sweden) working with child victims of online sexual abuse and exploitation, and boys in particular. The workshop has fostered exchange of good practices, peer learning and networking mapping trends and successful prevention and support strategies.
During the event, participants from different backgrounds (psychologists, social workers, police officers, researchers, first responders, legal practitioners) have had the chance to learn more, ask questions and discuss current topics with professionals with practical experience in the field. The overall feedback from participants has been positive.
Тhe interim progress meeting was held back-to-back with the workshop to make the most of the available time and resources. There was a representative from each partner organisation which was crucial for the effective planning of the upcoming activities under the LEAGUE project implementation.
