On 16-17 September 2019, FORMOBILE partners gathered in Munich, Germany, for their first Work Package 1 meeting to review the progress made so far in relation to the project. During the two-day event, planning and management duties were discussed, with the main focus being on the tasks scheduled to be completed under WP1 – namely, the proper methodology to be utilized by the WP1 leader, ZITiS, in regard to the 4 objectives the package has set.

The three-year-long project has the ambitious goal to establish a complete end-to-end forensic investigation chain, targeting mobile devices. In light of this, three main objectives are pursued – the development of novel tools;the creation of a single common European forensic standard; and the provision of a corresponding training for law enforcement agencies (LEAs).

The project is implemented with the support of the H2020 Research and Innovation programme of the European Commission under Grant Agreement No 832800.
