International seminar "Alternatives to pre-trial detention"
On 25.04.2024, the first of two international seminars under the RELEASE project entitled "Alternatives to Pre-trial Detention" took place in Bratislava. The seminar was attended by legal experts Denitsa Kozhuharova and Maria Lachova from the Law and Internet Foundation, as well as speakers from the European Court of Human Rights and the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights.
The seminar covered topics related to different national and European approaches to alternatives to pre-trial detention.
Last but not least, the results of the study of the partner jurisdictions regarding pre-trial detention measures, in particular pre-trial detention and the application of different alternatives to this measure were presented.
The seminar was attended by over 50 participants - prosecutors, lawyers and legal experts from the partner's jurisdictions, who shared valuable ideas and best practices, actively participating in the organized discussions and working groups.
