On October 14th a Round Table was held at the House of Europe in Sofia. The event was organized and conducted by Law and Internet Foundation's team within the PRESENT project. The Round table was attended by legal practitioners, judges, lawyers, prosecutors and academics in the field of the criminal procedure.
The program started with a presentation of the PRESENT project delivered by Mr. Atanas Kirov, Legal associate at Law and Internet Foundation. Then the floor was given to Prof. Dr. George Dimitrov, Chairperson of Law and Internet Foundation, who talked about the future of the information technologies in the criminal process. Ms. Denitsa Kozhuharova, Head of Human Rights Department, presented the main results achieved so far by the project consortium under the PRESENT Project. The event ended with an open discussion and all participants were invited to ask their questions and discuss issues related to the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/343.
