The kick-off meeting of the EVIDENCE2e-Codex project took place on March 7-8, 2018 in Florence, Italy. The Chairperson of Law and Internet Foundation, Prof. Dr. George Dimitrov, the Executive Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr, Daniela Ilieva-Koleva and Bogdan Petrov, Head of Human Rights Department, as well as representatives of the consortium, gathered to officially launch the project.

The Evidence2e-CODEX project builds upon two projects - EVIDENCE and e-CODEX. It aims at facilitating the exchange of electronic evidence in the EU framework, making possible a better international cooperation in the criminal sector and taking actions in the specific context of EIO (European Investigation Order in criminal matters) and MLA (Mutual Legal Assistance) procedures that will allow a strong uniformity and harmonization relating investigations procedures.
