The position of Law and Internet Foundation on the draft for amendments of the Data Protection Act was fully accepted

On 14 May 2018 Law and Internet Foundation published a position on the proposed amendments in the Data Protection Act which was fully accepted. The comments of LIF were reviewed and the draft was amended accordingly. The position included comments on provisions concerning the professional secrecy, the appointment of data protection officers, the use of the personal identity number for online services, the amount of the minimal fines and other important matters concerning the personal data protection in Bulgaria.
