The Workgroup for Law and ICT was established in 2005 at Masaryk University, Faculty of Law as the first academic unit in the Czech Republic that specializes in law of information and communication technologies and legal informatics. The primary aim of the workgroup was to develop and coordinate the comprehensive curriculum of master-level courses in various disciplines of ICT law and legal informatics, to coordinate the international cooperation in research and development in those fields and to provide the legal-expert background for various public and private ICT-related projects.
